The Village Doula Mentorship
A doula since 2018, Stephany Martinez has attended close to 350 births throughout the metro and in all environments; Home Births, Birth Centers, and Hospitals. She is now welcoming new and aspiring doulas to come alongside her to learn, first hand and in real time. Discover what it takes to support families of the community through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

The Pathway
Mentorship Offerings
The Village Doula Mentorship is a 4-6 month program designed to give a first hand view of the doula role.
During your mentorship you can expect the following:

1-1 Mentoring sessions

Business Development Coaching & Materials
-
Doula Identity & Philosophy Development

Shadowing Prenatal Meetings, Postpartum meetings, and Classes

Attending births within the community: Hospital, Birth Center, and Home Birth

Opportunities to work with clients as a primary doula with mentor shadowing
-
Foster relationships within the birth community and networking opportunities
Mentee's will be asked to invest $150/month for up to 6 months. Total investment will range from $600 - $900

How to apply
To apply for the mentorship, applicants should email their resume and cover letter, from there applicants will then be asked to fill out a questionnaire. After reviewing, if applicants are a good fit, there will be an in-person interview scheduled with Stephany to discuss the mentorship in more detail. Finally, if it is a good fit, applicants will be offered a place within the mentorship.
